A letter from CNAS Dean Kathryn Uhrich

By Dean Kathryn Uhrich |

Dear CNAS Faculty and Staff,

Over the weekend, I had a chance to reflect on how grateful I am to be surrounded by colleagues who are so dedicated in supporting the academic success of our students and the innovative research led by our faculty. There is so much to be thankful for:

But there is still much more to accomplish at CNAS. In the spirit of tomorrow’s national day of giving, Giving Tuesday, I ask that you consider donating to the Science Ambassadors Outreach Program or the Geodesic Dome at the Botanic Gardens.

The CNAS Science Ambassadors perform outreach to local K-12 students to promote science and higher education. Your gift will help support Science Ambassador Outreach Programs like the SISTERS Program, Delta SIFY, SMASH, and the Little EINSTENs. For more information about these programs, or to make a gift, please visit the CNAS Giving Tuesday webpage.

Donations to the Geodesic Dome in the Botanic Gardens will help raise funds to reopen the Geodesic Dome. The beloved dome, which was built in 1984, is currently closed and needs structural repairs. Support the dome by making a donation today.

The goal of the #GivingTueCNAS is your participation – so any gift of $5 or more will help us reach our goal. Please visit our #GivingTueCNAS page for more information or to make a donation to the Science Ambassadors Outreach Program or the Geodesic Dome.

Thank you for all that you do. Through your support, CNAS is able to impact communities here at UCR and beyond.

With appreciation,
Kathryn Uhrich
